The workshop covered the importance of disclosure and meeting the requirements of the Investment Advisers (Disclosure) Act of 1996, the Financial Transactions Reporting Act of 1996, and other issues surrounding practice standards. Gary has been a member of the Estate and Tax Planning Council of NZ since the early '90's and is just starting his third year on the Board.

Gary's early school and university education was undertaken in the UK, at the Municipal Grammar School, Wolverhampton (Head Boy), and Leicester University where he studied Physics with Astrophysics. In 1993 he completed a Diploma in Business Studies (Personal Financial Planning), through Massey University, and is three quarters of the way through a Batchelor of Business Studies, majoring in Finance, also through Massey University.
